Frank and Jamie McCourt's divorce is not set to be over any time soon. A date for the final trial in the high-asset divorce has been set for next spring or summer and will last for 30 to 45 days. During this trial the ownership of the Los Angeles Dodgers will finally be determined.

Jamie is still contending that she owns half of the team while Frank still plans to argue that the team is solely his property. Frank plans to trace ownership of the team to a business that he founded before he and Jamie were married. To do this, he will have to trace funding for the team across 30 years to his business.

The McCourts have been fighting over ownership of the team since this time of year in 2009 when Jamie was fired from the team business leadership and filed for divorce. The team is currently under bankruptcy protection and it cannot be sold at this time. Jamie is trying to determine whether the team's parent company can be sold. If the team is determined to be half Jamie's property, she will likely sell the team.

The couple worked out temporary spousal support issues at a recent hearing. Frank is paying temporary spousal support of $225,000 per month. This will last until the couple has more hearings in November on the 17 and 18. The couple is currently selling off some of their many properties and this money is also going to spousal support for Jamie.
